Begin by performing your selection as usual. As with any red-eye reduction technique, this part has to be done manually. After you've done this, open up your Actions palette. Create a new folder (something like "Photo Retouching"). To create the folder itself, hit the folder icon at the bottom of the Actions palette. Then create a new Action by hitting the New Action button at the bottom of the Actions palette (the little document icon). When you do this, a dialog pops up, allowing you to name the Action and assign a keyboard shortcut for the Action, if desired.

When you create the new Action, Photoshop immediately begins recording any actions you perform, indicated by the red Record button at the bottom of the Actions palette.
In order to create your automated red-eye reduction Action, open up the Channel Mixer; make the adjustment; and click OK. Then click the Stop Recording button at the bottom of the Actions palette. You now have an Action that will take care of red-eye reduction for you. To access this function, you can use the function key you assigned to the Action, or you can simply double-click the Action in the Actions palette.

You can also continue on making more Actions to cover any of the basic photo retouching methods you'd like to automate, such as green-eye reduction.
