If your problem is green or yellow eye, the problem is a little bit different. Make the selection as usual, and then call up the Channel Mixer. Here's the image before making any adjustments.

Now click on the button labeled "Monochrome," and adjust the "Constant" slider downward until you have the effect you want.

And that's it.
But, if you want to avoid doing this each time and prefer a one-click approach, no problem.
